Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the right of Palestinians to have their own state for the first time.  In return, he requested that several conditions have to be met by the Palestinians. They have to demilitarize completely and recognize Israel as a Jewish state to be independent. This is an important step towards a regulation in the Arab-Israeli conflict, but much diplomatic work from both sides is still needed.

The U.S. Secretary of Defence Robert Gates presented the budget project of Pentagon for 2010 to the Senate committee on budgetary expenditure. 44 people were killed in a wedding in Bilge, Turkey by some unknown masked men. They were armed with automatic weapons, as well as grenades. According to some survivors, the murderers forced all the people into one room, where they began to shoot. Some of the guest survived only because they were covered by some of the dead bodies. Out of the total 44 killed, there were 16 women and 6 children. The bride and groom were killed as well….
